Welcome to the first post of our "13 Days of Halloween" countdown! Tune in for 13 days of ghoulish crafts, spooky adventures, creepy decor, and inspiration for your own October celebrations. To kick off the countdown, we'd like to share a couple of Halloween-inspired everyday outfits....
The first outfit reminds us of a modern day witch (or a pilgrim). The dress came from a vintage store (shoulder pads removed) and is worn with a thrifted slip, pumpkin socks from JoAnn Fabrics, Betsy Johnson tights, and cork flats. The headband is handmade out of bits of green felt and tulle.
The second accidentally ended up looking like candy corn, which just shows how much we've got Halloween on the brain. Just looking at the dress makes us want to run out and pick some candy corn up right now! This dress has been worn to pumpkin patches for a few years in a row, and would have been worn to pick out pumpkins this year, but the patch closed right as we arrived.
Not to be cheated out of a pumpkin patch experience, we headed home and put together a Halloween photo corner to properly enjoy our outfits. The stuffed pumpkin, mini pumpkins, Frankenstein bucket, ghost lights, and spooky tree cutouts were already laying around and made a whimsical and fun background. In your face, pumpkin patch!
